There are some beautiful scenery throughout the South. To hunt fossils you have to go to out of the way locations and surprisingly some located within or near major metro areas. Now-a-days most areas are private property and will have to go through proper channels to gain access to these areas. These places can be creeks, road cuts, active quarries and mines as well as ancient sea beds located in an area far from the nearest beach.
